So, where did the word ''Shrunks" come from? The Shrunks' originated during our first couple of brainstorming sessions. Dann Ilicic, the founder of Wow Branding, in Vancouver, British Columbia, headed the branding strategy session. We were throwing ideas around all day...thinking, ''how can we capture the imagination of our audience to help kids overcome the fear of bedtime, with a name the represents fun, youthfulness, fearless, playful, animated, boldness, trendy, comforting, confident and powerful: The Shrunks brand!

So, after a couple of days, we thought...hmmmm, what do people do when they have a problem? They go to a Shrink?, right? Well, as a joke, we changed the ''i'' to a ''u'' and started to play with the word, ''Shrunks'' ..We used the word for a couple of weeks after that, to see how it felt and sounded...Every time we got stuck in a problem, we said, '' Haaa Shrunks'!'' It was fun and playful...So, it stuck.

Sunny, our fearless guard dog was born then. As the story continues, The Shrunks' sounded like this European Bavarian Family, living in Transylvania...So, we developed the Shrunks' family, with their fearless guard dog, 'Sunny', who always slept with one eye open and one eye closed, the Shrunks' family famous trait. It was also ironic, that the word Shrunks' means, ''Closet'' in German or ''things in the Closet''. ( like monsters or things unknown )..Hey we were on a roll now. Late one night, I was doing some internet surfing and found a link to the word Shrunks'...kid me not, but the word ''Shrunks''' , comes from the slang word in Greek, meaning laughter and what eliminates fear, you guessed it, laughter...and that was a total fluke. The Shrunks' were born...

The Shrunks'^® is a world-wide designer and distributor of character-branded clothing and accessories for the juvenile market. We are perhaps best known for our brave young pup Sunny®, the Shrunks' Fearless Guard Dog, our star character and corporate symbol. Sunny, however, is only one of many Shrunks'® characters and designs that bring the Shrunks' merchandise line to life. Others include our line of characters that put a friendly face on common childhood fears, like Closet® and Under the Bed®.

The Shrunks', with the help of their fearless guard dog Sunny, are on a world-wide mission to help kids conquer their fears. What are you afraid of: Is it the dark? Is it what's under your bed? Or, is it those unexplained noises in the middle of the night? Whatever your fear, The Shrunks' are inventing some of the coolest merchandise on the planet to help make fear disappear.

The Shrunks' was founded in 2007 by Mr. David Joseph Cirjak. Mr. Cirjak created a line of character merchandise designed around helping kids conquer common childhood and bedtime fears.
